Resolution to Establish the Department of Medical Education
The Board Meeting of Universal Institute Colombo was duly convened and held on 01st March 2026 in Colombo.
After careful discussion and consideration of the Institute’s strategic expansion plan, academic growth, and the increasing global demand for structured medical examination preparation, the Board unanimously resolved as follows:
Resolution
It is hereby resolved that:
A new academic division titled “Department of Medical Education” shall be established under Universal Institute Colombo.
The Department shall offer structured teaching, academic guidance, revision programmes, and examination preparation courses related to medical education, including but not limited to:
Sri Lanka medical licensing and postgraduate examinations
United Kingdom medical examinations
United States medical licensing examinations
Australian medical examinations
Middle East medical licensing examinations
Other internationally recognised medical qualifying examinations
The Department may also conduct a Pre-Medical Programme designed to academically prepare students for entry into recognised medical qualification pathways and licensing examinations.
The Department shall recruit qualified medical professionals and subject experts to conduct lectures, revision sessions, mock examinations, and academic mentorship.
The Department shall operate in alignment with the institutional mission:
“Your Success is Our Promise – Legacy Continues Since 2013.”
Necessary administrative, financial, marketing, and regulatory steps shall be taken to implement this resolution with immediate effect.
Important Institutional Clarification
It is hereby clearly stated that:
Universal Institute Colombo does not offer any medical degree programme, medical qualification, or course leading to a medical degree.
The Institute provides only preparatory and academic support courses conducted by qualified individuals to assist candidates in preparing for their respective examinations.
The Institute has no collaboration, affiliation, or formal partnership with any medical regulatory authority or licensing body in Sri Lanka or internationally.
Universal Institute Colombo bears no responsibility for the outcome of any external examination or licensing assessment undertaken by candidates.
