Studentship & Academic Confirmation Policy

Universal Institute Colombo issues Studentship and Academic Confirmation letters for students who require official confirmation for use with foreign institutions or other relevant parties. Issuance is subject to the conditions outlined below.

Eligibility Requirements

To obtain a Studentship and Academic Confirmation letter, the student must meet all of the following requirements:

Minimum Attendance: At least six (06) months of continuous class attendance while maintaining active studentship.

Fee Payments: Studentship must be maintained through regular payment of monthly or semester fees, as applicable.

Student Conduct: The student must maintain acceptable conduct and be well-mannered and well-behaved during the period of study.

Identity Verification: The student must provide a valid identification document.

Online Interview: The student must complete a formal online face-to-face interview for identity verification purposes.

Issuance Method

Studentship and Academic Confirmation letters are issued only by the Director.

Letters are sent through the Director’s official email and include the Director’s signature and designation.

Fee for Issuance

A fee of USD 50 (United States Dollars) is payable for each Studentship and Academic Confirmation letter issued.

The fee is non-refundable and must be settled prior to issuance of the letter.

Validity

A Studentship and Academic Confirmation letter is generally valid for one (01) month from the date of issue, unless stated otherwise on the letter.

Important Notice & Institutional Rights

Universal Institute Colombo does not entertain requests from students who have newly enrolled or enrolled solely for the purpose of obtaining letters to:
Claim benefits from foreign governments
Obtain government or private agency incentives
Support visa applications or employment-related purposes
In such circumstances, the Institute reserves the full right to refuse, withhold, or cancel the issuance of a Studentship and Academic Confirmation Letter at its sole discretion, even if an initial request has been made.
